Caring for your friendly neighborhood introvert.

In March 2003, Jonathan Rauch published this little bit of writing in The Atlantic Monthly. It is called "Caring for Your Introvert: The habits and needs of a little-understood group." Voila!

"Hell is other people at breakfast."

I find this laughable, and though I do not personally subscribe fully to the idea, have tasted this sort of hell before. The following, however, I find strikingly true:

"...introverts, when socializing, often feel like actors..."

I was nearly going to point you to and article written by an extrovert from the opposing point of view, but it was not easy to read... it was like the lady just kept going and tangential stories and would not get to the point. Which leads us to my favorite:

"I'm an introvert. You are a wonderful person and I like you. But now please shush."
